LLMs Aren't Inevitable

The idea that AI, specifically Large Language Models (LLMs), is "inevitable" is a thought-terminating cliché. LLMs cannot perform top-tier work and even at lower levels, their efficiency gains are not drastic. While an LLM-enhanced workflow might produce 20% to 50% more PowerBI dashboards, this often isn't a core bottleneck. There's no overwhelming capability overmatch, as evidenced by the lack of a single tech company producing significantly more products than competitors, and companies heavily invested in AI are struggling.
