The tells I've caught in myself so far. I use em dashes constantly (i GENUINELY started using it and tbh it's very comfortable) and I did not do that two years ago. I write "it's not X, it's Y" as a construction about once a paragraph. I end messages with "let me know if you'd like me to expand on any of that" to people who did not ask and do not want that. I have opened a reply with "great question" to a colleague. I put the phrase "load bearing" in a design doc last week and I genuinely cannot tell you anymore whether that is a me word or a Claude word
My manager's actual line was that my updates had become "very polished and slightly hollow", which is the meanest accurate thing anyone has said to me in about a decade
